  10. If you currently edit your CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files then reboot
  11. to change your system configuration, you're doing work that BOOT.SYS    
  12. should be doing.  BOOT.SYS makes it possible to display one or more     
  13. menus at boot-up time and to execute different parts of your CONFIG.SYS 
  14. and/or AUTOEXEC.BAT files depending on which options are chosen from a  
  15. configuration menu.

  17. You might need different drivers or memory configurations in your       
  18. CONFIG.SYS depending on what application you're going to run.  In the   
  19. past you had to either rename or edit your start-up files and reboot to 
  20. get a different setup.  Now this process has become much easier and     
  21. safer by using BOOT.SYS.
